Presente/Gift King Size

Recebi hoje  da Anabela Louro, uma  caixa  tamanho  gigante, cheia de coisas LINDAS, LINDAS,  mas que não posso mostrar ainda. Obrigações a que não devo faltar retiram-me tempo  para tal. Mas prometo que amanhã mostro. São mesmo lindinhas, lindinhas.  

 I have  received  today from Anabela Louro  a big  box , full of BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL, things  but I can not  share them with you tonight. Obligations  I must attend... But I promise that tomorrow  I will do it. Just wait. They are  soooo cute!!!!!!

Actualização/Update

Só um alô só para dizer que as coisas estão bem encaminhadas, que a maratona das capas está quase terminada, que as mantinhas estão sendo  cozidas e que a noite está fria por estas bandas, o que é óptimo para mim porque assim o lugar cativo que tenho no sofá não demora a estar ocupado. 

Este fim de semana estive no meu Alentejo. O carro foi daqui carregado de coisas para dar a uma família em necessidade de roupas e calçado  de criança  e fiquei feliz porque o stock vai dar até ao fim do inverno. Castiço! Temos crianças calçadas e vestidas. Tudo graças à minha vizinha Fátima que partilhou comigo as roupas da Andréia e do Rafael , para os mais pequenos, e a Sandra, minha Amiga que também é Carteira, com roupa do filho e da Filha, para os mais velhos. Às duas, por mim e por eles OBRIGADA!!!!! 

Tendo deixado toda a roupa nas mãos de quem delas necessitava, fiquei feliz por ver que, afinal,  já conseguia ver   o fundo ao porta-bagagens. Assim podia trazer da casa do meu Papi aquelas coisas deliciosas e muito saudáveis que o quintal lhe dá em troca de todo o amor com que aquele o mima. Achava eu... :-D. Todas essas coisas vieram sim mas ocupando o habitáculo porque o porta bagagens  veio cheio de mais roupa para outras  crianças daqui, que em deu a minha Amiga Margarida Ventura. Não me canso de  me perguntar : Sou ou não sou uma pessoa com sorte? E muito grata por ter Amigos.

Just a hello just to say that things keep progressing very well,  that the  marathon  of the capes  is almost over, the blankets are being  sewed  and the night is cold, which is great for me because the  very special place of my couch  will be taken soon.

This weekend I was in my Alentejo. The car was loaded with things to give a family in need of clothing and footwear for children and I am happy because the stock will  fill the needs up to the end of the winter. Super! We have children duly dressed  and with warm feet. All  thanks to my neighbor  Fátima  who shared with me  her Children's ( Andréia and Rafael)  clothes and  shoes for  the little ones, and  my other Friend  Sandra, who is also a Postman , female version,  with clothing from her son  and daughter, for the elders. For you both, THANK YOU!!!

Having left all these clothes in the hands of those who needed them, I was happy to see that, after all, could already see the bottom of the trunk. So  I could bring from my Dad's  all the  delicious and very healthy goodies  his  backyard gives him in return for all the love with which he treats it. I thought ... :-D. All these things came yes but occupying the the trunk came back  full of more clothes to other children here, given  by my Friend  Margarida Ventura. I never cease to wonder: am or am  I not a lucky person? And very grateful to have friends.

Menos uma ou Mais uma? / One More or one Less?

Boa pergunta, embora para mim o resultado seja o mesmo. Menos uma para fazer, mais uma a acrescentar ao lote das já terminadas. Já só faltam 4 para passar "para o outro lado".

It is a good question indeed, nevertheless the result being the same for me. One less to do, one more to add to those being ready. Just  4 to go!

REVELAÇÃO/DISCLOSURE

Ora bem,  está na hora de revelar onde me meti. Aquando da conversa com a Dra. Abigail, a responsável pelo Lar Esperança, aceitei o desafio de, para além das mantas, dar às Senhoras (e obviamente aos Senhores)  que lá vivem em permanência um miminho pelo Natal.  Esse miminho traduz-se em capas "crochetadas" ou tricotadas. E são 11. Para os Senhores, iremos fazer cachecóis.  Como este extra não faz parte do meu "acordo" com as minhas mãos ajudantes, só conto com as minhas e as da minha mana, o que transforma o desafio em algo sério. Por isso , estou tricotando que nem uma doida em todos os bocadinhos livres que consigo roubar às 24 horas do dia. A minha sorte é que no ano passado entrou-me a "febre" dos xailes e afins e fiz umas quantas. Umas ainda uso outras ficaram guardadas à espera de algo melhor. Pois, nada acontece por acaso. Assim que , para além das 3 que consegui fazer até agora, há outras 3 disponíveis. Posso então dizer que já só faltam 5. Acho que consigo até ao Natal, apesar de nesta altura haver outros projectos pessoais que quero levar adiante, porque um dinheirinho extra sabe muito bem. Doida?? :-)))))) Um pouco. Mas muito feliz.

Well, it's time to reveal where I got into. During the conversation with Dr. Abigail, responsible for Lar Esperança, I accepted the challenge to give the ladies (and obviously the 3 Men) who live there permanently a treat for Christmas. Such gift will be shawls /capes "crocheted" or knitted for the Ladies, (11!!) and scarves for the Men.
As this extra is not part of my "deal" with my assistant hands, I only can count with my own and my Sister's, which turns the challenge into something serious. So, I'm knitting like a crazy using every spare moment I can "steal" from my daily 24 hours. My advantage is that last year I got the "fever" of shawls and similar and did a few. Some of them I still use, others were kept waiting for something better. Well, I believe that there is not such thing as hazzard So, in addition to the 3 I manage to do so far, I have other 3 available. I can then say that are missing only 5. I think I can do it up to Christmas, although this time there other personal projects I want to pursue, as some extra money is always welcome. Crazy? :-)))))) A little. But very happy.

ÚLTIMA GOTA / LAST DROP

Recebidinha ontem. A última gota deste oceano imenso que é a solidariedade.  Como diria a minha Ma'ínha," que nunca lhe caiam ( ou doam) as mãos".

Received yesterday. The last drop of this huge ocean called solidarity. Someone deserves to be called human. 

Miminhos recebidos/Sweet tiny things received

Eu tinha   dito que logo colocava as fotos dos miminhos que recebi  da Ana Batista e que tinha esquecido no escritório, conjuntamente com os que trouxesse da minha Nina. Parte da informação não se verifica porque os gorrinhos tão castiços que a minha Mana fez ficaram na casa dela pois eu não consegui recolhê-los. Uma intoxicação alimentar trocou-me as voltas no domingo e deixou-me por um bom par de  horas tão indefesa quanto um bebé. Enfim,  depois de uns buracos " no fato" para o soro e as análises o mal estar já passou.  Ficam então as fotos que consegui fazer . Aninhas, muito obrigada querida. São Lindos.

 Estou a ver se a convenço a fazer mais uns tantos. Veremos se ela vai "na conversa". 

A few days ago I said I would post asap a few photos os the sweet little things I have  received from Ana Batista which I had  forgotten  at the office, together with the ones I would bring this weekend from my Sister's. Some of the information is not correct as the ones  my Sister has done still remain at her place because I  was unable to collect them.. A food poisoning  altered all my plans yesterday  leaving me  for a  good couple of hours as helpless as a baby. Anyway, it's over, after a few "holes on my suit" for the treatment and the analysis. Here are  the photos I have made with Ana's gifts. Thank you my dear. the are gorgeous.

My goodness am I special on making photos or what?  I wanted to show the detail and I have got this. I promise I will make another one and make the lovely hat justice.

I am trying to convince her to do a few more.  Let's see what she decides.

Contente ao quadrado / "Double" happy

Estou mesmo feliz. Hoje recebi uma encomendinha  (que logo coloco a foto pois esqueci a encomenda no escritório, grrrrrrr) e recebi do Padre da minha paróquia a garantia de que, à semelhança do seu antecessor, também ele irá   participar no projecto doando a sua "palavra" aos paroquianos. Quão importante é essa palavra!!!  Que aliado tão importante o Tricot tem ! Estou mesmo muito contente pois o meu stock de lãs ficará "por um fio"  quando entregar as 14 mantas  no Lar Esperança e há muita gente a quem aquecer neste inverno. Vou voltar a falar com ele daqui a quinze dias deste assunto.   Disso darei depois conta, como sempre.

Até lá, vamos trabalhando. Há muito para fazer.

I am delighted! The postman brought an envelope with tiny lovely things, which I cannot show 'cause I forgot it at the office ( grrrrr) and I managed to speak with the Priest of my community. And he said YES!!!!!!! He will participate on the project by donating "his words" . Are those words measurable? No.... Our Tricot just got a HUGE ally. I feel very happy because, following the delivery of the 14 blankets at the Hope Nursing Home, my stock is almost resumed to " one thread". I will talk with him again within 15 days. I will inform about it, as usual.

In the meantime, there is a lot to do.

Verdadinha. E os dias emagreceram tanto. Socorro!  Tanto para fazer e tão pouco tempo. Enfim. Nada de nervos. Havemos de fazer tudo.  Com os gorros que ainda faltam chegar das minhas novas mãos colaboradoras e os da minha Nina , dentro de uns dias poderei dizer JÁ TEMOS OS GORROS TODOS e SOBRA!!!  Não é um espectáculo???. Pois, mas isso é só daqui a uns dias.

Entretanto já estou magicando noutra coisa. Logo digo.

Cross my heart. Can you believe how much shorter our days are actually? God help us! So little time and so much to do!!! Anyway. No stress. Everything will be done . I believe I can say that, when I get the hats from the other sets of hands  we have, brand new, together with my sister's, I can than say that WE HAVE MORE HATS THAN REQUESTED!!!!!. ISN'T IT GREAT?? yes but that will be only in a few days .. Meanwhile I am preparing something.. Tell you later.
