DEVAGARINHO/ SLOWLY

Devagarinho chegaremos lá. Temos 30 para fazer. Por ora e já confirmaditos  aqui temos 6. Sei que há uns pares de mãos extra que estão conspirando a seu favor. Esta tarde vou requisitar mais mãos  no Centro de Apoio a Idosos da Catraia, quer para os gorros quer para as botinhas. Vamos ver .

Aqui ficam os últimos que fiz, junto com um par de botas, como não podia  deixar de ser. Estas coisas são como as cerejas ....

Step by step we will reach our goal . 30 berets up to the end of the month. By this moment we have already six. A "little bird told me" that there are a few extra pair of hands already conspiring on our behalf. This afternoon I am going to recrute a few others at Catraia, both for the berets and the booties. NUNCA SABEMOS / WE NEVER KNOW

Há uns meses atrás (ainda Verão)uma Amiga e antiga colaboradora pediu-me uns novelos de lã para tentar ver se umas Senhoras com quem trabalha, algumas com certas incapacidades físicas,  estariam interessadas em participar no projecto. Estávamos as duas  pouco convencidas que desse certo quer pelas incapacidades, pela motivação e pelas temperaturas  que desencorajam  qualquer um. E não é que resultou?? Hoje  disse-me para lhe mandar mais lãs porque a aceitação foi boa e querem fazer mais.  Espectáculo!! Amanhã levo mais. Estou encantada, como sempre fico quando  me é dada a benesse de ter mais mãos a trabalhar com o mesmo objectivo que eu.  La la ri la la ...

A few months ago ( burning hot) a Friend and former co-operator asked me some wool  having as aim some Ladies she works with, some with physical disability, to participate on  our project. Neither me or her were convinced in full that this could result as we had to consider the disability, the motivational aspect  and even the wheather temperatures were against us. However it worked out!!! Today she asked me to take more wool 'cause they were willing to do more! That is awesome!. I will take it tomorrow. I am more than delighted, as I always am when I get  extra pairs of hands working with the same purpose as mine. Ta da !!! 

CHEGARAM !! JUST RECEIVED!!!1

Três gorros feitos pela minha Amiga do Coração - Fátima - , que recebi há uns dias e que ainda não tinha colocado no blogue. Três tamanhos diferentes, como convém, porque não sabemos o tamanho das cabecinhas que os vão usar quando o frio se instalar. Já perguntei sobre isso a quem de direito mas ainda não obtive resposta. Não faz mal. Vão-se fazendo. Os que não conseguirmos escoar para o SOS Miminhos, vai para outra instituição qualquer.   Já tive oportunidade de te agradecer directamente minha querida, mas aqui fica o meu agradecimento à escala grande. OBRIGADA FÁTIMA. É  mesmo deste "material" que o Tricot  de Afectos é formado.

Three berets made by my dear dear Friend Fátima I have received a few days ago. Three different sizes, as convenient, once we do not know yet how old  are the babies who they will be given to. I have already asked by the answer is not yet received. No problem. We will keep doing them.  Being the response as positive as  I am expecting the ones not used on the project SOS Miminhos will be given to any other institution. INSÓNIA? GORRO /INSOMNIE? BONNET

Pois, isso. Insónia.  Aproveitemo-la então.  Primeiro gorro do desafio que aceitei algum tempo atrás. Lã que estava à mão e agulhas idem, porque às 6 da  manhã  há gente dormindo.

Cannot sleep. Right. What can I do? A bonnet.  The first one ref. the challenge I have accepted a few weeks ago. Wool and needles I manage to find without disturbing the ones still sleeping.

1 De Outubro à porta

Está assim lançado o novo projecto do Tricot de Afectos. 'Bora lá tricotar e crochetar muito afecto para quem precise. O futuro não se apresenta risonho para ninguém (excepto um grupo de "cogumelos" denominado políticos).

First  "brick" of the new project the Tricot de Afectos has embraced. Let's knit for those who need it, 'cause the future the most part of us is now facing is not bright ( exception for the "mushroom" class called politicians).

PROJECTO em projecto /PROJECT on sketch

Já me sinto mais animadita. A  Dra. Célia Branco, Representante da mesma Instituição que recebeu os lençóis,  lançou-me um desafio e, como não podia deixar de ser, aceitei-o na hora. Fazer gorros ( ora, quem diz gorros diz casacos, calças, botinhas :-)  de bebé/criança , até ao início de Dezembro para serem entregues  nas festinhas de Natal que irão ocorrendo ao longo do mês.  Serão cerca de 30. Castiço não é? Já sondei algumas das "minhas" mãos extra e a resposta foi aquela que eu esperava. Que felicidade poder contar com estes tipos de certeza. Definitivamente quem tem Amigos é uma pessoa muito afortunada. E não é que eu sou?

I feel much better now. The Representative of the institution who got the baby sheets  challenged me about another way of the Project to participate on the S.O.S. Miminhos and  immediately I said yes. To make baby   knitted bonnets (well saying bonnets, is the same thing as coats, trousers, booties right??)  up to the beginning of December to be part of the gifts to the families at Children Christmas parties taking place along the month. She mentioned about 30 . Cool isn't it? I have already contacted a few of my  "extra pair" of hands and I have got the expected answer. I'm so blessed for having the Friends I do. Indeed I am. 

CONTAGIANTE/CONTAGIOUS

Sem muitas palavras , por desnecessárias, junto a consequência do contágio grave  que a minha irmã contraiu  de mim, nesta semana de descanso forçado. Enquanto recuperando de uma operação e porque temos muito em comum, apresento-vos o que as mãos produziram. Embora eu seja bem mais prática, o efeito final é castiço. Mais dois conjuntos de lençóis a juntar  ao grupo. Ainda não completamemte acabados mas não resisti.Boa.

Being short on words because there is no need, I enclose the photos of the terrible contagious situation my sister got from me during the last week, while "resting" from a surgery. My goodness there is so much in common we have... 10 crazy little elfs... Although I am much more practical, the final result is so sweet.. Two more baby sheets sets. Not yet fully finished but I could not resist the temptation..
